Boston Marathon Information
The Boston Athletic Association, in cooperation with the eight cities and towns along the
Boston Marathon course, will begin the 113th Boston Marathon, Monday, April 20, 2009, at 10:00 a.m.

Parking
Parking is not allowed anywhere along the Marathon route or adjacent streets. The route
will be closed to vehicular traffic for the duration of the event.
Hopkinton - There are two primary parking locations at the event:
- Hopkinton Industrial Park
- Hopkinton State Park
There will be fewer spots to park at the Industrial Park this year, therefore space
will be limited.
MBTA
The best way to attend any of the Marathon activities is by taking public transportation
wherever possible. The B.A.A. does not provide transportation to spectators or
unregistered runners and they strongly encourage participants to use bus transportation
that is provided.
The MBTA will have extra service on hand on selected routes and services for spectators.
The MBTA Subway and Bus system will be operating on a Saturday schedule and all Commuter
Rail Trains will be operating on regular weekday schedule. Weekday schedules will be in
